As a result of this preview, I have already ordered a paper copy for my 13-year-old daughter, ordered a copy for my middle school library, and suggested that my husband, who is a pastor, order copies for our youth group AND I have offered to lead a book study with that youth group, which I never do! Does this tell you how terrific I think Dr. Chapman's Teen's Guide to the 5 Love Languages is? It should. Dr. Chapman does a wonderful job of breaking down his love languages theory for young people, delving in to what it might look like to love someone through service, words, touch, gifts, and time. A Teen's Guide to the 5 Love Languages is a slim version of the classic Chapman book written with the youth of today in mind. Updated diagrams and relevant illustrations will help teens understand how to have meaningful relationships - not just of the romantic nature. It will help them better understand their relationship with their family and friends. This would be an excellent study for a teen small group or a youth group to work through together. A test to determine your love language is included in the back of the book.I received this book from Moody in exchange for an honest review.

I love this book! It is helping me with my daughter, to better show love through her Love Language. After she answered the questionnaire to find out her love language, I was surprised to learn that it was not what I had previously would have guessed was her love language. As we go through the book together I'm hoping it will help her in her friendships, too.

I bought this book for my teenage daughter for Valentine's Day. She's still reading it but I've listened to the book and feel it is a great approach to understanding and dealing with teen relationships like with parents, siblings, other family members, teachers, friends, and boyfriends/girlfriends.

Appropriate and easy reading for our 10 and 12 year old boys. One section about sex that was light, and promoted good discussion in our family. Was a great launch point for many discussions about love and respect. I sat down and read it in about an hour prior to giving a copy to each of the boys. Pairs nicely with the online 5 love languages surveys for kids and teens. Results of the surveys paired with talks from the book topics gave me and my wife more insight into how to most effectively connect with our young men.

Great Material for teens and adults alike! We used this as the basis for our high school girls small group study. The girls were really receptive to all the discussions we had. The book can easily be broken down in a 6 - 8 week study. We did it in 5 weeks, but would have preferred longer. Loved the questions at the end of the chapters! Highly recommend for teens and their parents, youth leaders, small groups, or Sunday School.

One of the best books for talking to teens about getting along with anyone - family, friends, roommates, potential spouses, the general public.... I used it with my youth group and it was a very effective lesson. The book is written on a teen level to communicate the principles in Dr. Chapman's original book for adults. Excellent, and a quick read.

My teenage daughter (who hates reading) really enjoyed this book and refers back to it often. I’ve also seen a huge improvement in our relationship.

Wow. This book was ridiculously simple, and a very easy read. It improved my life and my relationships dramatically for the better. Sometimes I had to just put the book down, and ask myself, why didn't I think of that? It was a very educational book that I would recommend to teens and adults. Over all, it was a fantastic read.
