Both of my daughters love this author and this new story is no different. It's a fun tale with fab illustrations and lots of fun little Easter eggs tucked away about the previous books that were written.

 I wasn't sure what to expect of this since there weren't any reviews, but my toddler fell in love with Stick Man after we stumbled upon the animated short on Amazon Prime so I had to get it for his birthday. The book itself is exactly like the hardcover edition with the addition of symbols throughout that indicate which sound button to press at that time. The three LR44 button cell batteries can be replaced by removing a small screw on the bottom front of the sound board. I recommend buying the sound book over the standard hardcover edition since you get more bang for your buck.

We're huge fans of Julia Donaldson - especially the Gruffalo series and Room on the Broom. I'd read that Stick Man was going to be turned into a movie this winter and decided to purchase the book prior so we could be familiar with the story. My almost 3 year old daughter received this book for Chanukah, just before Christmas. (Yes, we celebrate both.) She instantly loved it, and we read it every night until Christmas and a few times since. My husband just found the new Stick Man movie and says it's as good as the other Julia Donaldson movies. I can't wait to watch it with my daughter.

My daughter fell in love with Stick Man when we stumbled across the animated version on PBS last Christmas. We bought her the book as a gift and she loves to look at the pictures and hear me read the story to her anytime she wants. We also purchased a plush Stick Man for her to cuddle with while we read.

This is such a charming story about a stick man who gets separated from his stick family. Several animals and people find him along the way to use him for other things, but with Santa's help, he returns to his family for a Christmas miracle. The pictures are colorful and bright, and the story is a favorite for my 5 year old son who asks to read it even when it is not Christmas time. Easily will become his childhood favorite!

My son LOVES the movie so I decided to buy the book for him. I was expecting a little "board" book and not the larger hard cover book. He will be 3 in October and he can "read" the book to me based on the pictures. I have to read this numerous times to him and he laughs ever time I read it. We are big fans of Julia Donaldson books/movies. I would also suggest "Room On The Broom", "The Gruffalo" and "The Gruffalo's Child".

Beautiful book. A really great story simply told yet enjoyable for all age ranges. I highly recommend getting the movie it was FANTASTIC! This book is a wonderful addition to a family library.

Our family have been fans of Julia Donaldson and Axel Schefler since first being given a copy of the Gruffalo 7 or 8 years ago. We have most of their books and love the bright and expressive drawings and the fun rhyming and lyrical text.If you are a fan you may notice that Stickman first appears in the Gruffalo's child as the toy that the Gruffalo's child carries with her through her adventures with the terrible mouse. And whats more, careful eyes will find the Gruffalo hiding in one of the illustrations in Stickman...Although we love all of the Donaldson/Schefler books (and you can't really think of one without the other) this is among our favorites. The great story of Stickman being mistaken for a stick by dogs, swans and children who all want him for something else is accessible and touching. There is a scary bit in which Stickman finds himself laid onto the logs in a fireplace, but all works out in the end.If you are new to these books I highly recommend the Gruffalo, A Squash and A Squeeze, and Stickman as the most out-standing of a great series of books.

My daughter made me read this book every night for a month. I didn’t even mind because it’s a wonderful story and beautifully illustrated! In fact, I was kind of sad when she stopped asking for it... they also make a stick man stuffy who is absolutely adorable and goes along so well with the book as a gift from Santa.
